Back to Therapists

Jamie Bufalino is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who takes a collaborative, client-centered approach, tailoring sessions to each client’s specific goals and creating a supportive environment where individuals can explore their inner world and cultivate meaningful self-growth.

Jamie earned his master’s degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles, with a specialization in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community. He subsequently worked at a clinic serving LGBTQ+ youth from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate relationship challenges, tackle difficult transitions, and heal core wounds.

In his practice, he uses psychodynamic principles to help clients get a better understanding of how past experiences and relationships have shaped their present-day thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Drawing on his years as a writer for national magazines, Jamie helps clients tap into their creative spirit and other strengths. He weaves elements of narrative therapy into the therapeutic process—inviting clients to explore the messages they’ve absorbed from family and culture, and to consider which narratives support them and which may be holding them back.

Ultimately, Jamie’s work centers on empowering people to revise the stories that no longer serve them and to more fully connect with their authentic selves.
