NATALIA EWALT, LMFT
Natalia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience working in the field of mental health in Los Angeles County for the past 20 years.
She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with emphases in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.
Natalia works with a variety of populations including older adults, adults and children. She provides individual, couples and family therapy and is trained and certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy.
Natalia has extensive experience working with a variety of issues, including mood disorders, grief and loss, trauma, substance abuse, ADHD, and adjustment/life changes and has experience collaborating with professionals on multidisciplinary teams in a variety of settings. She specializes in work with Women/Women's Issues, with adults who have been diagnosed with ADHD and with immigrants/refugees and others from diverse backgrounds; and is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian languages.
Natalia utilizes CBT and family systems theories to guide her practice. She believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship, and genuinely values the importance of building rapport with clients. She supports clients’ autonomy and decision making in the treatment process and views treatment as a collaboration process with her clients.
Natalia believes in the inherent resilience of the human spirit and embraces a strengths-based lens when working with individuals who have experienced trauma and loss as well as other challenges and stressors. Natalia promotes and embraces the practice of mindfulness and gratitude, the value of human connection, and the importance of finding meaning in one’s life.
